The Country Kitchen
The chosen palette embraces calm, warm tones. Most of the cabinetry features soft sand-coloured lacquered oak veneer fronts, paired with a Silestone Calacatta Marmo worktop and pristine white walls, forming a serene backdrop from which the island takes centre stage.
This expressive island is clad on its fronts and sides in aged oak veneer, with striking knots and grains shaped over time – a true delight for those who appreciate the beauty of natural wood. The same veneer is echoed in the meticulously crafted bespoke wine cabinet, creating the sense of visual continuity we so highly value in JMQ kitchens.
The space is further enriched with decorative cornices and mouldings, a ceramic farmhouse sink, and aged brass handles – refined details that reflect a passion for design and elevate the charm of this luxurious kitchen.
Beauty in Nature
The use of natural wood veneer in the cabinetry results in a truly unique kitchen – shaped by the clients’ tastes, the expertise and meticulous attention of our designers and installers, and the mastery etched into the trees over the years.
Beauty lies in the details: in every knot, in every vein.
Each line infuses the space with its presence, creating a dialogue between design and nature.
Country Aesthetic
Cornices concealing the worktop lighting, mouldings crowning the cabinetry at ceiling height, antique brass handles, and the framing of each door and drawer front – where the oak’s original grain is visible beneath the chosen colour. Each of these features reflects the sophistication and care with which this kitchen was designed, all in service of a refined country aesthetic.
Bespoke Wine Cabinet
A bespoke wine cabinet completes this distinctive project, meticulously designed for the space it inhabits.
The Siemens dual-zone wine cooler ensures that favourite wines are always served at the perfect temperature – whether enjoyed with friends, family, or over an intimate dinner for two. A dedicated drawer offers the ideal place to store essentials such as a corkscrew, while the grid shelving provides additional storage capacity and enriches the home’s visual elegance. Finally, open shelves offer space for wine glasses or a decanter.
Every detail was conceived to unite form and function.
Connection of Materials
This unique wine cabinet has been refined not only in its form, but also in its choice of materials. Its exterior, in soft sand-coloured lacquered oak veneer, blends seamlessly with the kitchen’s dominant palette. In contrast, its interior in aged oak veneer stands out as a charming feature, aesthetically connected to the island.
Timeless Elegance with Aged Oak
The island takes centre stage in this project, both through its positioning and its warm tones expressed in aged oak. This choice lends the room an organic and timeless character.
The cabinetry selections remain consistent with the home’s wider architecture and décor, incorporating elements such as the natural stone flooring – reinforcing a sense of durability – and bamboo blinds.
Together, these details add texture and warmth to the environment.
Belfast Sink & Quooker
The kitchen’s layout allows natural light to flood in, particularly from the side opposite the worktop, where several large windows open onto the south-facing courtyard. Even the window above the sink offers a graceful touch of daylight throughout the day.
In front of it sits a Belfast-style ceramic sink, interrupting the worktop entirely to provide a more generous bowl area and reinforcing the intended tone of this country home.
Here too is a Quooker system, delivering instant boiling water – whether for preparing tea or coffee, cooking pasta, or steaming vegetables with greater ease.
American Fridge-Freezeer
The American fridge-freezer provides the storage and preservation capacity ideally suited to this family, along with the comfort they sought, thanks to its plumbed-in fresh water and ice dispenser. And all with the performance one expects from Siemens.
Every Corner Counts
Every corner of this layout has been meticulously considered. In the lower corner units, pull-out trays combine the practicality of a contemporary kitchen with an aesthetic that transports us to another time.
In addition, integrated LED lighting in the upper cabinets allows the entire worktop area to be used to its fullest. The warm tone of the surface follows the palette chosen for the entire project.
For the oven and microwave, the choice fell on the Siemens studioLine range – appliances of high reliability that integrate elegantly into the kitchen, without drawing attention away from the elements intended to stand out.
BORA Pure System
Positioned at the centre of the island, the BORA Pure system was chosen for induction and extraction, offering four cooking zones across a total width of 76 cm. With ventilation integrated into the hob, there is space for elegant pendant lights that enhance the desired atmosphere.
The worktop is in Silestone Calacatta Marmo, with slender brownish veins that convey refinement and sophistication.
